Leaf Drawing & Design Ideation
Objective:
Visit environments with leaves and find a leaf that is attractive to you focusing on the lines, shapes,textures, and/or colors. Photograph the leaf at different complex angles, straight on, from above, below, and the side. Using the photographic examples of your leaf, complete graphite renderings of the leaves you would like to continue to develop. Design a visual object based on your leaf photos. Explore different visual elements to represent your leaf: point, line and curve, shape, and texture. Merge as much, or as little, of each sketch as necessary to make the most successful aesthetic form.
