Hand Tool Re-Design
Select a simple hand tool object to render using primitives. Using a pencil, sketch the object and explore how it can be reduced to simple geometric shapes (primitives). Recreate the object in Illustrator. Combine and layer the shapes in ways that emphasize dimensionally or volume using circles, ellipses, rectangles and the polygon tool. Use the pathfinder tool options, (ie. unite, intersect, exclude, etc.) to fill and emphasize the aspects of the form that are important to the object.
