Company: Swath Design for the city of Campbellville, KY- Taylor County
As part of a team of three at Swath Design, I worked closely with the City of Campbellsville and the Taylor County Tourist Commission to create a comprehensive wayfinding signage program that would help guide visitors, support local tourism, and strengthen community identity. From the very beginning, I was involved in initial client meetings and presentations, where we listened closely to the city's needs and goals. I helped gather information and audit the existing signage system, which included traveling through the area to take photos, measurements, and notes on what was working—and what wasn’t.
One of my key roles was mapping out current attractions and sign locations, which helped us identify major travel routes, downtown landmarks, and potential opportunities for clearer direction. I contributed to early concepting of the signage system and played a hands-on role in developing design drawings that reflected the unique character of Campbellsville and Taylor County. It was important to all of us that the signage felt like a true representation of the community—not just functional, but welcoming and authentic. This project was a great opportunity to be immersed in a city’s story and contribute to something that will serve both residents and visitors for years to come.
